New house at Graven Hill, Bicester.

A collaboration between Chance de Silva and designer Maite Alegre.

As part of the self-build and custom-build community at Graven Hill, Bicester, where participants purchase plots and work up designs for their individual new homes.

Carlos and Maite’s features double-height spaces in kitchen/dining and ground floor bedrooms and a master bedroom facing towards the tree-crowned woods of Graven Hill. It is clad in larch and aluminium with a hybrid steel/timber frame.
