With a ground storey of London stock bricks and lightweight cladding above, the building steps in response to the surrounding buildings. It mediates between a two-storey Victorian house and a 12-storey tower block, acting as a transitional building.

Internally, interconnected spaces with different half-levels create characterful and light-filled rooms with sunlight coming in from different angles and glimpsed views towards the surrounding open spaces. The interiors combine exposed concrete elements with warm floors.
